Caradon Mining District - World Heritage Site

mine engine houseThis part of Bodmin Moor is one area of the Cornwall Mining World Heritage Site, recogizing the tremendous impact Cornwall had on mining across the globe.
The tea room and post office at Minions sell specialist books about the moor.

Minions Heritage Centre

A renovated Cornish engine house houses a display interpreting the history of the landscape from the Stone Age through the era to the present day.
Access for wheelchairs by prior arrangement. Open all year round.

Launceston Castle

Visit the castle grounds and climb up the tower, which was added inside the keep of the Norman castle. Launceston Castle

Lawrence House Museum
